I learned this year it is possible to be at once both so very proud and so very embarrassed by what’s going on in this country. Some people are dug in and hopeless and some are so damn beautiful and productive and pragmatic that it’s almost impossible not to see wind blowing the fence over. The question is, will it fall on the good or the bad side? Is Kobe Bryant the answer? As it turns out, he might be.
